As a real estate agent, you are supervised by a broker, who is required by state law to have physical authority over your real estate license. When you decide to switch brokers, your license will need to be transferred from your old broker<\/a> to your new broker. This transfer is always made possible by your state's licensing control office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notify your supervising broker in writing of your intention to change brokers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check with your supervising broker to ensure that he has formally resigned supervision of you and has submitted your real estate license to the appropriate state licensing control organization. When you learn that your license has been revoked, immediately cease all real estate transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
